Snoop Dogg 19 Crimes of Cali Red Wines

A bottle of Snoop Dogg wine:

19 Crimes tells the true story of rule breakers who overcame adversity to become folk heroes in their communities.  This spirit lives on today through innovators and culture makers like Kali native Snoop Dogg.

Snoop Dogg Wine App

For starters, there’s an app that makes a bottle of Snoop Dogg wine talk.

The application is called Living Wine Labels by Treasury Wine Estates.

Here’s how to use the Live Wine Labels app to get Snoop talking:

  1. Grab your phone and go to the app store.
  2. Find and install the free Living Wine Labels app.
  3. Open the application and go through the instructions.
  4. Scan the bottle label with your phone’s camera when prompted.
  5. The augmented reality (AR) experience begins the moment you hold your phone up to the label.
  6. Snoop’s wine bottle label (picture of Snoop) will start a conversation with you.  Points up!
  7. After he speaks, you can take your phone out of the beacon and return to continue chatting with Snoop.  I have to thank myself for that.
  8. And besides… Seriously, it’s pretty cool!  Try it.

The AR experience isn’t limited to Snoop Dogg’s 19 Cali Red transgressions.

Other 19 Crimes wines also offer an augmented reality experience with their labels through the Live Wine Labels app.

And according to the app itself, other wine brands also have live labels, including Beringer, Matua, Lindeman’s and others.

Appearance

So, that being said, let’s move on to the review itself.

In the glass this wine has a dark plum color.

I also noticed the nice red-purple meniscus on the outer edge.

The tip and twist coated the glass with a translucent purple hue.

Eventually the legs were numerous and fell slowly.

Aroma

The wine was quite tasty, with a decent, medium body intensity that was even stronger up close.

I noticed a combination of aromas of red fruit and secondary notes of sweet spice.

There was alcohol in my nose.

Snoop Dogg 19 Crimes of Cali Red has an alcohol content of 14.1% by volume per bottle.

Button

I tried the 2019 vintage of the Snoop Dogg 19 crime Kali Red.

I thought I’d take a closer look at the taste of this wine by answering some of the most frequently asked questions.

How does Snoop Dogg’s wine taste?

Snoop Dogg 19 Crimes Cali Red tastes like a balanced red blend, with notes of black cherry, vanilla and candied raspberry.

I found that the flavor contained 2 flavors that were all over the place.

First black cherry with a slight hint of vanilla.

Second, a switch to lighter, candied raspberries.

Both moves were very consistent, and I executed them carefully.

A simple complexity if ever there was one!

Is Snoop Dogg’s wine sweet?

On the first sip, a slightly sweet black cherry can be detected, but it quickly fades to a candied raspberry aroma with a long finish.

Sneezing and tanning of the mouth

The Snoop Dogg 19 Crimes of Cali Red had a juicy cap with noticeable and well integrated tannins.

Fact

The finish was long, with a bit of vanilla sweetness in the first stanza.

Ultimately, however, it is the tannins that finish the song for this wine.
