We are delighted to announce that we have named Goedhuis & Co Best Burgundy Specialist 2021, what a fantastic result for a new company and a new vintage. The Judges were impressed by the quality of the wine, the outstanding balance and elegance, classy and elegant with a hint of tannin, a very mature and perfectly balanced wine, with excellent length.

IWC Schaffhausen announced today that they’ve named IWC Global Price Guarantee Manager, Burgundy Specialist, Andreas Wentz, the winner of the IWC Best Burgundy Specialist competition in 2021.

IWC, the world’s most famous watchmaker, has always been famous for the quality of its watches. However, IWC’s success has not always been straightforward, and it has faced many challenges over the years. A few years ago, the Swiss firm had to rethink its strategy, due to an over-production problem. It came upon a solution in the form of a new brand called IWC “Wienster” that targets the United States, a market that is highly profitable but has never been served by IWC. The new brand was launched in the year 2011, and after several attempts, it has managed to establish itself in the US market, where it is now the most successful and prestigious watch brand.
