February 2021 – Disaronno International and its parent company ILLVA Saronno S.p.A. are pleased to announce that Corvo, part of the Sicily-based company’s import portfolio, will introduce a new look and new packaging for its wines, as well as two new range extensions that reflect both a deep connection to the island’s wine culture and a nod to the present and future.
Founded in 1824, Corvo has long been one of the leading Italian wine brands in the United States, delivering consistent quality and value. With consumers looking for authenticity in wine and eager to discover new regions and grape varieties, Corvo was ready to refocus on premiumization. Efforts include a shift to single-varietal wines, a deeper connection to the region and Sicilian terroir, and an update to modern packaging with new elegant labels that highlight local Sicilian grape varieties and their particularities.
New labels for the next series of Corvo wines: 2020 Grillo, 2020 Moscato, 2020 Rose and 2019 Nero d’Avola, will be available in the United States this month. With Corvo’s emphasis on quality and connection to the land, the 2020 Grillo and 2019 Nero d’Avola will also carry the Sicilia DOC label, Corvo’s first releases to do so. The new DOC Sicilia designation will enable Corvo to continue to promote an authentic, historical and cultural link with Sicily to both trade and consumers. Corvo’s range of wines also includes the super-premium Irmana line and the ultra-premium Colomba Platino line, of which Irmana Grillo 2020 and Colomba Platino Nero d’Avola 2019 will also carry the Sicilia DOC designation. These two lines are new, they reflect the efforts in premiumization and offer Corvo the opportunity to do business with new consumers.

Corvo is part of the Duca di Salaparuta group (together with Duca di Salaparuta, also founded in 1824, and Florio Marsala, founded in 1833). These three historic wine brands were brought together by the Reina family and today form the first private wine group to establish itself in Sicily. They express the history of the island and its land through the cellars and the selection of wines that best represent the Sicilian terroir.
The improved wines Corvo, Irmàna and Colomba Platino will be available in the expanding American markets.
