About gladiator bikes:
Award-winning winemaker Adam Lazarre launched the Gladiator Wheel in 2005. His goal: to make very large wines two or three times as expensive and know that every night someone, somewhere, is enjoying his wine. Based in Paso Robles, California, Lazarre manages the entire process, from selecting the best vineyards on the central and northern coasts, to working with the winemakers and overseeing the entire winemaking process. The result is five expressive and delicious wines – Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Petite Sirah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The packaging of Bicycle Gladiator wine, inspired by the Belle Époque, depicts a woman suspended in mid-air from a bicycle, a new invention of the 19th century. Century, is released. The brand is named after the Parisian bicycle manufacturer Gladiator, whose evocative posters inspired women to get out of the house and explore the outside world – a seismic shift after so many centuries of domesticity. Cycling, in turn, has become an integral part of the women’s suffrage movement, led by Susan B. Anthony to explain that the bicycle has done more for the emancipation of women than anything else in the world.
