Newberg, Oregon – 13. April 20, 2021 – Crush2Cellar, the Willamette Valley’s only premium wine shop, is pleased to announce that owner and founder Terry Sherwood is celebrating 25 years of partnering with and supporting the local Oregon wine community this year.

Terry and the C2C team work directly with wineries of all sizes, supplying everything from yeast, bacteria, nutrients and tannins to cleaning products and wine supplies, tanks, fittings, valves, tubing and a full range of laboratory equipment and chemicals.

This year Terry is celebrating his 25th anniversary in the Oregon wine industry, where he has become known and loved in the local wine community. Born of his passion, experience and knowledge, Terry decided to open a business that would make basic wine products readily available to the community that is so close to his heart. In 2015, Terry opened Crush2Cellar in Newberg with his son Tyler and colleague Danielle Koepke. In 2018, they added a daughter, Terry Caley.

  • 1996 – Terry began his career in the wine industry as a supplier of nitrogen, argon and CO2 to local wineries. After getting initial traction, he was curious to see what else he could do to help. Terry’s first customer was Michael Stephenson of Panther Creek Cellars, who supplied him with 2 to 4 foot high racks of fittings and valves. Noting that the community did not have a place where local wine producers could quickly and easily obtain the products they needed, Terry contacted local wine producers to find out what products were in demand in McMinnville.
  • 1997 – Terry expands its product line to include a basement chemical warehouse.
  • 1998 – Terry’s portfolio is expanded to include the supply of fermentation materials.
  • 1999 – Terry began supplying laboratory supplies and small equipment, including filling equipment, pumps, small crushers and de-stoners.
  • 2002 – Terry received the Distinguished Service Award from the Oregon Winegrowers Association.
  • 2014 – Terry was honored with the Oregon Wine Walk of Fame award on behalf of Davison Winery Supplies.
  • 2015 – Terry partnered with ETS Laboratories to open Crush2Cellar at their Newberg location to test and analyze samples to local wine customers.
  • 2021 – Terry Laboratories and ETS Labs renovate the C2C store to create an enhanced and modernized shopping experience for local customers.

Over the years, Terry has built strong relationships with key industry suppliers and vendors, as well as Willamette Valley winemakers. He is a valued member of the community and has dedicated his career to supporting local winemakers who produce wines of the highest quality.

Terry Sherwood comments: It’s a milestone I’m very proud of. I am deeply rooted in and involved in this community and have had the pleasure of watching the Willamette Valley Wine Country grow and develop over the years. My vision when we opened Crush2Cellar was to help local winemakers achieve their goals. Their success is also our success, and I am very grateful to have been able to build such strong relationships with Oregon wineries of all shapes and sizes.
