New packaging with the 10th anniversary year

Napa, CA (Feb. 24, 2021) – BRAND Napa Valley, the prestigious Pritchard Hill Winery, introduces a modern logo and updated brand packaging this month with the release of its 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2018 Exclusive Blend. Inspired by BRAND’s concept of location, locality and a deep sense of place, the new logo reflects the winery’s clean lines, sustainable design and contemporary elegance, as well as the natural landscape of the 110-acre hilltop estate.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon and patented blend are the first vintages to have an updated brand image, with new labels, custom cork designs and custom crates. Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, the flagship of the BRAND portfolio, represents the ultimate expression of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, reflecting the strength, luxury and artistry of the hilltop vineyard, while the patented 2018 blend combines Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon in a blend that balances beauty and elegance with intensity and structure. In addition to modern packaging and an updated color palette, the new labels feature hand-drawn illustrations by artist and graphic designer Michael McDermott.

Inspired by the natural environment and strong architectural features of the property, the new packaging is now a true representation of BRAND Napa Valley, said Christine O’Sullivan, owner of BRAND Napa Valley. BRAND Napa Valley, located on the famous Pritchard Hill, was purchased by Jim Bean and Christine O’Sullivan from the original founders in 2019. Since then, BRAND has invested in biodynamic farming practices, new vineyard management, a complete redesign of the tasting room and the first release of BRAND white wine. They have also added Janet Pagano as Chief Operating Officer and Christy Devine as Director of Sales and Hospitality to their team. Today, BRAND unveils a new logo, label and website to usher in a new phase of growth for the winery in 2021 and beyond.

About Brand-Napa Valley

BRAND Napa Valley Estate was founded in 2009 and acquired in 2019 by long-time Napa Valley winemakers and former Apple executives Jim Bean and Christine O’Sullivan. The winery is located on a beautiful 110-acre estate in Pritchard Hill. The wine cellar, designed by architect Juan Carlos Fernandez, is an example of ecological design and is part of BRAND’s focus on sustainability. The 15 hectares planted are farmed organically and judiciously, with a total of 16 separate blocks of vines, spread across 13 different combinations of rootstock and clones of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. BRAND Napa Valley produces three flagship red wines – BRAND Cabernet Sauvignon, BRAND Proprietary Blend and Brio red wine – as well as the recently released BRAND white wine. Biodynamic farming methods were introduced in 2020 because BRAND believes that what grows under the ground should be as full of life as what grows above it.

Philippe Melka, Director of Wine, has worked for BRAND since its inception and is actively involved in all aspects of agriculture and viticulture. Winemaker Matt Johnson works closely with Melka to grow and create BRAND wines that express the unique beauty of the winery, while cellar master Robbie Crabb oversees the production of Boots on the Ground and the management of production for BRAND’s growing portfolio. Janet Pagano, an industry veteran, leads the company, manufacturing, sales and marketing as COO, while Kristi Devine oversees all DTC sales and marketing.
