The new winery is located at an altitude of 1200 to 1400 metres above sea level, with a windy glacier forest on cracked basalt, and is close to the McQueen Vineyard, a 50-hectare vineyard that was first planted in the SeVein vineyards on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla Valley AVA. The McQueen estate currently consists of 21 hectares of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot, Pti Verdo and Syrah.

The opportunity to buy a 40-acre clean cloth, almost identical to our original McQueen Estate vineyard in the heart of the SeVein vineyard, was a perfect fit for us and we could not give up, said Josh McDaniels, CEO and director of Bledsoe Wine Estates. This not only gives us room to grow, but also to expand our growing presence in one of the best vineyards in the Mauern Valley.

Although no planting dates have yet been established, the vineyards are the fifth vineyard of Bledsoe in the Walla Walla Valley, along with McQueen, Bob Healy, Flying B and Lefore. These vineyards cover a total of 194 hectares, of which approximately 60 hectares are currently planted.

When Maura and I first visited McQueen Winery in 2007, we soon realized that the short and long term future of Doubleback was under our feet, according to Drew Bledsoe, owner of Bledsoe Winery. Fast-forward 13 years and it is exciting to think what the future holds, not only for the untapped potential of this new vineyard, but also for the Bledsoe vineyard.

About the vineyards of Bledso:

Bledsoe Wine Estates was founded in 2007 to celebrate the continuation of an American success story. After leaving the NFL, football superstar Drew Bladsoe was attracted to his small hometown in the Pacific Northwest, where he discovered a new passion using his winning work ethic to keep the country and the blame. A new dream was invented with his wife Maura. It is no coincidence that Drew chose the renowned CEO and winemaker Josh McDaniels, a man who not only has an unshakeable will and talent to make this dream come true, but who was also born and raised in the same Wall hometown, Washington.

The individual projects of the Bledsoe Wine Estates – Doubleback, Bledsoe|McDaniels and Bledsoe Family Winery – play an important role in this new American dream and offer their customers the perfect glass of wine, wherever they are on the road to fame.
