Beth Bowlin, who previously served as the co-director of the Silver Trident Food & Wine Festival, has joined the venue as its hospitality manager. Bowlin will oversee all aspects of the venue’s dining and beverage service, which will include the menu development for the venue’s on-site and off-site restaurants. Bowlin comes to Silver Trident from the Wine & Culinary Center, where she was the marketing and communications manager since 2000. Patrons of the Silver Trident will be able to enjoy Bowlin’s culinary talent at the venue’s onsite restaurant, the 15th Street Eatery and the off-site Stormin’ Norman’s at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

Beth Bowlin has been named Hospitality Manager at Silver Trident in Newport, Rhode Island. Bowlin comes to Silver Trident from the Six Hotel Collection, where she served as Director of Operations and Events.


Promotion after five years at Silver Trident Winery

Yountville, Napa Valley, April 2021. — Beth Bowlin has been promoted to hospitality manager at Silver Trident Winery in Yountville. We are very pleased to announce that Beth Bowlin has been promoted to Hospitality Manager at Silver Trident Winery. Beth exemplifies our commitment to providing an exceptional experience for every customer, said Shane Soldinger, general manager of the winery, in making the announcement.

In her new position, Beth will oversee relationships with tasting room customers, which includes the Perfect Pair wine experience and the chip extravaganza. I am honored to be a part of this beautiful gathering of personalities, with its uniquely elegant wines and surroundings, said Beth. There is not a moment that I am not grateful for what our team has created here to share with our guests, she adds. Beth will be responsible for the winery’s art program in partnership with Ralph Lauren Home. Beth came to Silver Trident from positions in the hospitality industry, ranging from beverage director for top restaurants to wine tour guide.

Beth strives to provide an exceptional experience for her clients. In the first days of the pandemic, when the tasting room was closed, she remotely organized Zoom tastings and yoga classes for members of the wine club – a program she called Namaste at home. In her spare time she does yoga at the Ontville Tasting House and for guests of Bardessono, goes to concerts and is training to be a certified sommelier (level 2) at the Court of Master Sommeliers. She lives in Ontville with her partner Bradley, their cat and their rabbit.

Silver Trident Winery is a small winery whose tasting room in Onville is not only a tasting room, but also an elegant showroom with Ralph Lauren Home Collection fixtures and furnishings. It is located at 6495 Washington Street, Yountville, CA 94599 and is open seven days a week from 11am to 6pm. According to the coronavirus protocols in place at the time this article went to press, tasting sessions are now held outdoors and indoors with a maximum capacity of 50%. All tastings are by reservation only.

The winery currently produces the following wines: 2019 Symphony No. 9 Sauvignon Blanc, Apollo’s Folly Rosé de Pinot Noir, 2017 Benevolent Dictator Pinot Noir, 2018 Playing With Fire Proprietary Red Blend, 2016 Twenty-Seven Fathoms Cabernet Sauvignon and 2016 Friends & Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.

Silver Trident’s potato chip extravaganza begins with a glass of Apollo’s Folly Rosé, followed by the four actual wines, each paired with a different artisanal potato chip.

Silver Trident’s Perfect Pairing begins with a glass of Apollo’s Folly Rosé, followed by a flight of the same four wines from the current collection. Each wine is paired with a canapé designed by James Beard Award-winning chef Sarah Scott to highlight the nuances of the small production wines.

The Tasting Room has a beautiful upstairs room that can be used for large groups or special events.
